The Dances:

Most of Beltane's dances are original and most were created by Tony and Di Brooks of Stokeinteignhead, Devon.

WHITE LADIES ASTON - Tony's version of a Traditional dance - Tune used: King of the Fairies

LOGAN STONE -Di's dance  A Logan Stone is larger stone balanced on another usually     smaller stone. There are several in Devon - the one that was in mind for this dance is behind Haytor rocks -  Tune used: drumming only

TOLMEN STONE - Di & Tonys dance. A tolmen stone is stone with a hole through it - if you pass through the hole you will be cured of all ills - just mind the River Teign beneath! Our Tolmen Stone is near to Scorhill - Tune: Sherrif’s Ride

HACCOMBE - Tonys version of a Grimspound Dance - Haccombe is a     hamlet near Stokeinteignhead   - Tune: Lost Pint

THE HUNTRESS - Di & Tony's Dance - Diana - the huntress -  Tune: Battle of Aughrim

DILWYN - Di & Laura's version of a traditional dance - In Beltane this is a women only dance  - Tune: Percussion

BATTLE OF THE TREES - Di & Tony's dance (we're not dancing this one at the moment as we're altering some of the moves to improve the flow of the dance (2007)) - Choose from:-  a) mythological Battle of The Trees, or b) the more recent Fairmile protest - Tune used: Neil Gows Lament

BELTANE FIRE DANCE - Di & Tony's dance - It should really be danced with fire sticks but we've yet to try it. It should also be danced under the Hunters Moon up on Dartmoor - Tune used:  Beltane/Huron Fire Dance

VIXEN TOR (VIXANA) - Di & Tony's dance - A large amount of the time, Vixen Tor is surrounded by bogs. A pleasant old woman (Vixana) is reputed to have lived there who used to lure young male travellers to their doom! (nice) - Tune used: Old Turf Fire

STONE CIRCLE - Di &  Tony's Dance - the circle  is Scorhill Stone Circle -   but Stonehenge managed to creep in at the end of the dance.  Tune: Originally this was danced to the tune Harvest Mouse but Jackie Tolliday Bailey wrote a new tune which she's simply called Stone Circle

BRIMFIELD - Di & Tony's interpretation of a traditional dance - Tune used:   Cuckoos Nest / Less Than A Week

WITCHES BREW - DI & Tony's dance - Maddy brews beer - Roger brews cider - thats all you need to know at present. Tune Used: Golden Castle.
